What made you want to start your career in construction?
I have always liked to work with my hands, and I enjoyed the construction site atmosphere.
What do you like about your career?
I truly enjoy the challenges that I am faced with daily. I like to solve problems and to be able to possibly make a difference in the industry.
What skills do women bring to the construction industry?
I think women as a whole are a little more detailed-oriented, we also bring a different approach to problem-solving.
What advice would you give to women who are thinking about a career in construction?
Never let anyone tell you because you are a woman that you can’t do this job. You may not have the physical strength of some men but, with all the tools at our disposal, you can do the job just as well as any man and sometimes even better.
