Nenad is a name well known throughout Cummings Electrical. Leadership has recognized him numerous of times for his efforts in expanding his skills and knowledge in manufacturing. Nenad was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and then emigrated to Chile as an adult. Upon arrival he learned Spanish and worked for a company that manufactured ships. During that time, he became a supervisor and oversaw a group of 15 people. “I went to this country and didn’t speak their language and I ended up in a supervisor role.”

Later, he moved to the U.S. to be with his family and friends. Soon after his arrival, Nenad landed a job here at Cummings Electrical as a Manufacturing Technician. “I am passionate about my work and I love it. I want to help Cummings Electrical succeed, because they helped me when I was looking for a job. I think Cummings will be my first and last job here in the U.S., because I love my job.”

One of his proudest accomplishments was operating the CNC Router Machine. Nenad currently has two certifications, and he hopes to attend classes again soon. “I don’t want to be stagnant; I want to keep advancing in my career. I feel like I can learn a lot here at Cummings Electrical and advance. There’s always something new and one day is not like the other.”

When we asked Nenad what he likes about his job, he responded with, “I like how our leadership treats our team. When you are responsible in your job your boss calls you to congratulate and recognize you. When we have a problem, they help us.”

We cannot wait to see what else Nenad is going to accomplish in the future. Without a doubt, he is an integral part of Cummings and we are fortunate to have him as part of our team.
